After graduating from the University of Memphis with a Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis in corporate finance, Teresa began her career with an independent wealth advisor practice in Collierville, a suburb of Memphis. During her time with the firm, Teresa enjoyed working on addressing the needs of the growing practice as well as working within the firm addressing the financial needs of each client family. Most of all, Teresa discovered her passion for delivering financial clarity.
Teresa is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner and holds the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) designation. During her career, she has also earned the Series 7, Series 66, and Series 24 securities registrations.
Teresa is an advocate for educating the public on the importance of financial planning. She serves as president of the Greater Memphis Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), which has most recently collaborated with University of Memphis educators on developing a financial planning degree program. Teresa also serves under the National CFP® Board as an advocate for women entering the field of financial planning, on the steering committee for the Collierville Chamber’s Women’s Leadership Network, and on the Economic Club of Memphis Board of Directors.
Through the Women’s Institute for Financial Planning, Teresa also serves as the Second Saturday® Divorce Workshop facilitator for the Greater Memphis area. The workshops help women survive the divorce process without falling into the common major financial, legal and emotional pitfalls.
Teresa has appeared on the Germantown Municipal TV news channel, delivered presentations for numerous national conferences and community events, and has received recognition as one of Memphis Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” in the Memphis community.
